Current News & Upcoming Info.
Hey fellow book lovers, readers, writers, and generally amazing people!
Since the release of Something to Believe In, I have been a busy little bee trying to spread the word about my very first novel and getting it into the hands of readers. I’m working on tons of things over here and just wanted to take a moment to fill you all in on what’s happening and what you can expect from me in the future. 🙂
First and foremost, I am absolutely thrilled to say that I have the best readers! Something to Believe In seems to be a hit with you guys and being a first time author, there is no greater feeling than knowing that you put something out that means so much. Your reviews blow me away and I can’t wait to see what more and more think!
As you know, Something to Believe In is the first book in the Silver Series. Since before the book was published, I had mentioned that I was working on a second one and even had a title. Something to Hold On To is going to be Mickey Silver’s story. Now to clarify, this does not mean that I am finished with Simon and Mackaeala. Simon’s been talking to me lately and I can assure you that they will have another story. The thing is, I am not entirely sure when it will be out as I have yet to begin writing their next chapter, but it WILL happen. Also, regarding Something to Hold On To, I may have jumped the gun a bit with scheduling the release date on Goodreads as November. It may take a little longer than that, but I have a really good explanation for why.
As a writer and generally creative person, I find myself often becoming inspired by little things here and there. Sometimes I have dreams that I must write down, sometimes I get a dialogue stuck in my head, sometimes I picture a person’s face or name. It can all be a bit overwhelming and sometimes irritating to those around me, but if it fails to cease, I MUST write it down. So…with that being said, Something to Hold On To is on the back burner right now. Why? You ask. Well, as posted on Sunday on my Facebook page and also on this blog, I have a new story to tell.
The title of this story is untitled as of yet, but the characters in it are in full swing upstairs in my pretty little head and they refuse to be ignored. So basically I am relenting to their incessant pestering and weaving an exciting and romantic tale that I feel needs to be told. This story is a little less dramatic than Something to Believe In and a bit more on the um…”Steamy” side. Truth be told, I am really eager to write this one and haven’t been able to stop since I started it last week. I will have more details on it coming in the near future.
Also, I am in the process of getting Something to Believe In out in paperback! This is almost scarier for me than publishing in e-book form because it will be a real physical book that you can touch and hold. Something about my story being printed on real pages makes me all sorts of giddy with excitement and scared at the same time. I should be receiving the first proof of the paperback in the next few weeks and once it is approved, I will let you all know where you can get it!
I would like to conclude by saying once again, because it’s never enough, that I absolutely love you all and am so beyond grateful and thankful for your love, support, messages, tweets, reviews, etc. I can’t begin to explain how much it means to me. I’m just a dreamer with a passion I can’t ignore and your amazingness helps to justify what I’m doing and why! So thank you a million times!
